We guarantee that we'll emerge after the long weekend with an EP in our hands! (well, atleast the pre-master mixes) We're heading to Upton Street on Saturday morning to lay down some final Rickenbacker overdubs & backing vocals, before we cut the final mixes over Sun/Mon/Tues. Needless to say, it's been quite an interrupted process recording this EP. With gigs, parties, uni, full time work, it's been hard to string multiple sessions together. Not often that you get a 5 day weekend, so we're gonna take it! We were considering uploading some demo samples but we figured if y'all have waiting this long, might as well wait a few more weeks to hear the real deal!

Grab your Fred Perry, Harrington and desert boots and head down to Ya Ya's to celebrate May day with a Mod Alldayer featuring all things touched by the hand of Mod. There'll be scooters, R&B, dancing girls, Rickenbackers, skinny ties, Weller & much more! These kinda shows are essentially the ones we enjoy playing the most and we gotta hand it to Al & the crew at Ya Ya's for putting on the event. Hopefully the start of something here in Perth!

Tickets available at the door on the day, not too sure of the price but a tenner should do fine! For that you get 8hrs of live Mod/Beat/R&B/Garage & Northern Soul.

In other news, we have just finished the re-tracking of our debut EP, five new songs down and sounding sweet! 

Over the next few weeks we'll be mixing these tracks in our home studio before sending them off to the UK to be mastered at the end of the month. 

We hope to have a few teasers up on the facebook page in a few weeks time!

A big proverbial "shout out" to Alistair Walsh, Russell Morris, Shakey & co for their awesome work in directing, producing and ultimately creating a music video for our song 'Aftermath'. 

The clip is currently being colour graded and will be available for all to see in a few weeks time, can't wait! (we haven't seen it yet)

2011 is here and so is Blow Up, the latest and greatest new shindig to hit Ya-Ya's

Here is a little introduction... 

- NME called it legendary, BBC referred to it as the birth place of Brit Pop and Time Out said there was no place quite like it, there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Paul Tunkin’s London club night Blow Up has changed the world. Setting the heels of UK punters alight for the past 17 years, Blow Up has its home in the same building where the Stones, Kinks, Beatles and Hendrix all recorded, in the middle of notorious street Tin Pan Alley. -

If the swinging soundtracks that characterised this time in history make your knees weak, you'll be thrilled to hear that Blow Up is coming to Ya Ya’s, Perth’s newest, independent live music venue. Mod, soul, classic pop  all the original sounds that have made Blow Up such an iconic evening will be performed once a month by top local DJs and bands. 

We'll be on stage at approximately 10:00pm and joining us, spinning rad tunes into the early hours will be DJ's Steed. Agent 85 (TW!ST), Mr Nice & The Likely Lads (Supersonic).

Well, Norfolk Lanes 2010 has come and gone. Cheers to all the awesome girls and lads who made it down early to catch our set! We each enjoyed playing on a bigger stage with more room to move and a bigger sound system to play through....and for the first gig in our short history, Matt didn't cop a swinging bass-to-the-face courtesy of Mr Canny! WIN
